From the beginning, founder and President Wendy Goldman’s vision was to help reduce barriers to attracting, retaining, and retraining mature workers, as well as giving them a higher profile in communications media.  This view represented a novel and uncharted area, requiring a new way of thinking about workplace aging.

GeroBiz was launched by Goldman in 1995, soon after earning a Master of Science in Gerontology/Master of Business Administration at the University of Southern California.  Her background includes over 10 years of pension administration and consulting, where she began to address her deep concern for the aging population. She recognized the disparity between population demographics, 40+ employment opportunities, and corporate training programs.

GeroBiz takes the position that prevention is preferable to litigation. We honor traditional best business practices while confronting the likelihood of Age Discrimination in Employment lawsuits.  We offer revitalizing employee training programs that help reduce barriers to employment of mature workers, and make your workplace more accessible to older clients.

Technological innovation has either eliminated or transformed many physically demanding jobs, enabling skilled, highly educated, computer-literate seniors to remain productive in the workplace. This adds to the growing evidence that mature workers add value.

GeroBiz helps business leaders communicate
- internally and externally -
in age-neutral ways. It's simply good business.
